Dave Miller
 

With over 30 years of experience in the sports marketing field, ISM's President Dave Miller provides his clients with valuable insight into the business world of sports.

Dave started as the corporate sales director for the San Diego Sockers where he had a lead role in increasing the fan base and revenue streams of the North American Soccer League Franchise. This success led Dave to an eleven year position as the Sales and Marketing Consultant of the San Diego Chargers during which he served as Executive Producer for in-house television properties and was the team's number one revenue generator each of his eleven years.

Dave also worked with Chargers star linebacker Junior Seau, securing endorsement contracts with GTE, McDonalds and Carl's Jr.

In January of 1999, Dave decided to expand his services to encompass the entire sports marketing field by founding ISM. Since it's inception, ISM has developed and managed events in diverse fields including: Celebrity Golf, Celebrity Poker, WUSA, International Soccer, Rugby and Yachting. Dave has also consulted with many major organizations and venues, lending his expertise in sponsorship sales, and helping his clients maximize their sales efforts.

 

 

 
Cheryl Smith-Lemox
 

Cheryl came to ISM with nearly twelve years of experience in the sports marketing field, including the San Diego State University Athletic Department, America's Cup and ten years with the San Diego Padres Baseball Club.

During her career with the Padres, Cheryl managed the club's on-field activities and ceremonies, advertising and special events. During her last three years as the Director of Corporate Services, Cheryl was responsible for over 100 corporate client relationships and the Club's promotional activities, including Major League Baseball's first ever title sponsorship program.

Cheryl joined ISM in November of 2000. Her responsibilities include:

• Oversee all marketing, advertising, digital media, public relations and social media communications.
• Strategize/Manage volunteer recruitment, leadership and execution.
• Create strategic alliances and media partnerships.
• Develop programs and events to increase attendance and sponsorships.
• Create/Manage retail, sponsor and media promotions.
• Hire/Mentor company interns.
• Negotiate/Manage on-line ticket/registration systems for participants, volunteers and hospitality guests

 

 

 

 
Doug Sampson
 

Doug's career in Sports Marketing began with the International Hockey League - San Diego Gulls Hockey Team in 1992. He then moved to the San Diego Chargers Football Club in 1995 where he began in their Marketing Department and eventually became the team's New Media and Promotions Manager. In addition to managing all aspects of the Chargers advertising, game promotion and team publications, he created and developed the Chargers' Internet site, which was one of the NFL's most imaginative.

With 20 years of experience in professional sports, advertising and event management, Doug adds a wealth of creativity to ISM. His responsibilities include all web-site development, marketing, promotions, graphic design, production of collateral materials and all aspects of operations for ISM events and promotions.

Kyle grew up outside of Philadelphia, PA and graduated from the University of Delaware in February 2009.  Upon graduation, he attained his B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics. 

Kyle joined ISM in September 2010 as a marketing intern before becoming a full-time employee in February 2011.  His main responsibilities include sponsorship sales, contract fulfillment, and running the charity auctions. 

 

 

 
Deanna Sampson
 

Deanna joined ISM in 2005 to manage the Human Resource Department and handle all bookkeeping. She brings with her 40 plus years of accounting and bookkeeping experience spending 33 with the Southland Corporation (parent company of 7-Eleven convenience stores).

 

 

 

 

Cassie Muntz grew up in Carlsbad and graduated from San Diego State University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and an emphasis in Integrated Marketing Communications.

Throughout her college career, Cassie volunteered at numerous events, interned for the Athletics Department at San Diego State University, and was a part of the game day operations staff for the San Diego Chargers. As a senior, she interned with ISM for the 12th annual Cox Celebrity Championship Hosted by Drew Brees and was responsible for over 70 sponsors and their sponsorship fulfillment.

As ISM’s Event Manager, Cassie is responsible for all celebrity coordination, hotel and transportation arrangements and all event hospitality including decor, food, beverage, entertainment and supervising the overall event production.
